The Secondary Schools Art Awards hope to recognize and celebrate the emerging artistic talent in New Zealand.

This exhibition features the finalists for the 2014 competition.  This year 27 finalists were selected from over 360 entries from around New Zealand.  

Congratulations to the winners of this year's awards...

First Prize - Cherry Yang, St Cuthbert's College

Second Prize - Kerry Sayegh, Waitakere College

Third Prize - Kia Hania, Howick College

Fourth Prize - Max Munneke, Wanganui High School

Highly Commended - Georgia Lala, Diocesan School

Cash prizes are donated by the Arts Trust: 1st prize $500, 2nd prize $400, 3rd prize $300. 
These will be awarded to the winners at the exhibition’s opening night on Monday 29 September.

 

The People’s Choice Award, as voted by visitors to the exhibition, will be announced on 27 October 2014 and consists of a $200 cash prize.

 

An online display of all the finalists, thanks to exhibbit, will be shown on our Education page at the conclusion of the exhibition.
